Folder VIEWing options - help
I tried to "see" them while in Safe Mode, but they didn't appear since they're hidden files. Trying to change folder view settings was to no avail. It reverted back to not showing hidden files. But wouldn't those two .DAT files be accessible in DOS mode? If so, and if they can be copied back in as replacements,

You can, but make sure you really want to. DL's are buggy, unreliable, and featureless. I can't think of anything you can do with them that you can't do with Categories or multiple Contact subfolders, both of which are more reliable. If you want to proceed: Change the Contacts Folder View to by Category.

Renaming Inbox to change order
So I don't think the fonts and the softwares are the problem. Somehow I first time I installed the fonts on that machine by unzipping into the font directory, W2K didn't like that. I can't find the file ttfcache (I made sure that my folder view options do not hide OS files and any extensions).

Moving Outlook files?
Clients behind products like MS Proxy2 cannot get to these sites because Proxy2 only allows SSL on port 443. View changing without trying??

Then going to Tools>Folders Options and cklicing the View tab, then clicking on the button, Apply to All Folders does not apply this change to all folders and resets the folder back to what it was before I made the change. How can I fix this. Using Windows XP SP2.

Remembering folder customisation and window sizes
I would like to see the file details when looking at folders. Every time I open a folder, I have to change the view. Is there a way of changing the default view? XP came with no documentation and I can't find this in the help file. Can anyone suggest a good but inexpensive book on how to use XP?
